The Rhino Ultra is the most difficult challenge in all of virtual racing! It requires its participants to complete 10 half marathons within a 10-week time frame. The time frame is based on approximately when the participant registers for the race. If you sign up for the race and your order is confirmed on a Wednesday afternoon at 4:32 PM, then you have until 4:32 PM on Wednesday approximately 10 weeks later to complete the race AND submit your results. Each half marathon must be tracked with your fitness-tracking app (Strava is preferred). Submission results must include all 10 half marathon times and a screenshot/photo of each run. Additionally, the date and time of each run must be visible in every screenshot submitted. NO EXCEPTIONS! Those that do not meet the requirements may be disqualified from completion of the Rhino Ultra and you will not receive your Rhino Ultra buckle. The Rhino Ultra buckle, a silver trophy-style belt buckle, will be shipped to you after proof of completion is verified. If you fail, you may attempt the race again, BUT only after you purchase the race again. You’re allowed to have as many purchases and attempts as you’d like, or can stand. Things happen in life and this is the toughest virtual race out there, but regardless of injury or personal issues, absolutely no excuses will be accepted. You either complete the Rhino Ultra or you don’t.
This is the only Rhino Race that has a time limit. Each of your required 10 half marathons MUST be completed within 3 hours. Any time submitted that’s 3 hours or more will not count. However, you have 10 weeks to have as many attempts as you need. Although not required, Strava is what's preferred to record your runs for this race. As a result, all Strava submissions must be saved using the “Race” setting to ensure accuracy of time. Additionally, the “Race” setting must be visible in each of the 10 submitted screenshots/photos or that submission will not count.
Rhino Races reserves the right to request additional information for results, or deny submissions deemed inadequate.
Your official time of completion for this race will be calculated by combining all 10 of your submitted half marathon times and will be displayed in hours, minutes and seconds. This is Rhino Races’ featured race, and you truly have to be Rhino tough in order to be awarded the beautiful silver Rhino Ultra trophy belt buckle!
