Description
Are you Rhino tough? Then this is the race for you! This race requires participants to run a total of 10 half marathons within 10 weeks. That’s ten 13.1-mile runs. The time period for completion begins approximately 10 weeks from the date and time of the participant’s registration. The 10-week clock starts immediately upon confirmation of the participant’s race purchase. These runs require proof of completion by uploading 10 separate photos/screenshots of your results on the Rhino Races “submit results” page. The time and date of each half marathon must be visible in every results screenshot submitted, or it will not count (example: 3:23 PM on October 21, 2024). Strava is the preferred fitness-tracking app of choice, but this isn’t required. All results must be submitted within the participant’s 10-week time limit, and can be done so individually or all at once; however, it’s best to submit each screenshot individually as soon as possible after completion, rather than wait to submit all 10 screenshots at once.
Results submitted before or after the participant’s designated 10-week window of time for this race will not count! Rhino Races reserves the right to request additional information for results, or deny submissions deemed inadequate. Those either caught cheating or have been determined by Rhino Races staff to have cheated, will receive a lifetime ban from Rhino Races and will not be issued refunds for race purchases.
There is a 3-hour time limit for each of the 10 half marathons required for completion of the Rhino Ultra, meaning each of the 10 individual half marathon runs must be completed in less than 3 hours. Anything submitted that has a time of 3 hours or greater will not count! If using Strava, all race submissions must be submitted as a “Race” type. This is because resting time is not factored into your performance. “Race” must be visible in the submitted photos/screenshots. It can be seen on the top left portion of the GPS map on your screen. For all other fitness-tracking devices used, auto-pause settings must be turned off.
Each finisher will receive a custom, trophy-style belt buckle upon completion of this one-of-a-kind race. Those that finish the Rhino Ultra and also complete the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and Marathon races will be inducted into the Rhino Races Hall of Fame, which is featured on this website. In addition to being inducted into the Hall of Fame, finishers will receive a custom-made Hall of Fame belt buckle. This is the top prize for Rhino Races participants.
Refunds will not be provided under any circumstances, even if the participant is injured or falls ill during the Rhino Ultra.
